She started practising Tai Chi because her back pain and arthritis forced her to find a gentle way to keep her body and mind fit. She loved doing Tai Chi, but found that not every style, form, or teacher was good for her health.
In 2003, just before a visit to Australia, Ellen visited Dr. Paul Lam’s web site and was very interested. She attended her first Tai Chi for Arthritis workshop with Dr. Lam in a library in Hurstville, Sydney, Australia. This workshop not only inspired her, it changed her life. It was the beginning of her Tai Chi for Health journey.
That was in 2003 and Ellen is still travelling along the road on her tai chi journey, enjoying Sun Style Tai Chi and the friends she found and still finds on her way. She has been to America and Australia to the one week workshops to improve her Tai Chi and did Sun 73 in Depth.
She is a Master Trainer since January 2010, teaching the Tai Chi for Health Programs and spreading the word in Switzerland, Holland and throughout Europe.
In 2006 and 2007 she did a Qigong-teacher training with Prof. Qingbo Sui from Laoshan-Zentrum für Lebenspflege Hamburg/Shandong
