What is Tai Chi for Rehabilitation?
Tai Chi for Rehabilitation is a combination of Yang, Sun and Chen tai chi styles, and incorporates Dr Lam’s extensive experience in tai chi, medicine and positive psychology.
Chen style is vigorous and sophisticated, containing fast and slow movements along with the mysterious spiral force. Sun style has a uniquely powerful qigong (life energy) along with agile steps. Yang has graceful and slow movements which promote health.
Tai Chi for Rehabilitation can be done for recovering from major surgery or daily stress. It will help develop your inner power and resilience.This set can be done lying, sitting or standing and will help develop your knowledge and inner power of tai chi.

- In order to qualify to teach you will need to prepare by studying the Tai Chi for Rehabilitation DVD and Dr Lam's Teaching Tai Chi Effectively book.
Dr Paul Lam, a retired family physician in Sydney, Australia, is a world leader in the field of tai chi for health improvement. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC.gov) recommends his Tai Chi for Arthritis Program.

At this workshop qualified instructors will have an opportunity to update their existing qualifications. There is an administration fee and you will need to complete a written assignment and submit it two weeks before the workshop, plus meet the requirements.
NB Assignments submitted late incur an admin fee.

The American College of Sports Medicine’s Professional Education Committee certifies that the Tai Chi for Health Institute meets the criteria for official ACSM Approved Provider status from 2015-December 2018. Approved Provider #701292.
The Tai Chi for Health Institute is approved as a provider of continuing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. The course offering is approved for up to 16.5 contact hours applicable to APRN, RN, or LPN relicensure. KS State Board of Nursing Provider Number (SP1426-0119).
