Dr Lam with Fiona Black at the Tai Chi workhshop January 2016During this exciting workshop Dr Lam will discuss the deeper meanings of the tai chi principles and how to incorporate them into your forms.

The Workshop

This workshop evolves constantly and many people enjoy it so much they attend it several times over the years. Dr Lam will explain the ultimate purpose of tai chi and what Qi (life energy) is.  He will work on using the Yi (mind) to drive the Qi, and the Qi to drive the Jing (internal force).

Tai chi practitioners at every level will find something useful.  They will be fascinated by new interpretations and the clear directions will allow them to develop their tai chi to a higher level in an even more enjoyable way.

Dr Lam will show you how to deliver the Jing and use it to store and regenerate more Qi. Your tai chi will improve significantly as you begin to cultivate stronger Qi. These techniques and knowledge are applicable to all tai chi.

Millions of people around the world have learned Tai Chi for Arthritis; many would like to progress further. This workshop is a great opportunity to enhance your tai chi and gain greater health benefits.

This workshop can be, with prior notice and the submission of written assignments, an update for Tai Chi for Arthritis or other Tai Chi for Health programs. An administration fee will apply.

Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention

Older people are more likely to fall which can cause serious injury.  Tai Chi for Arthritis has been shown by studies to prevent falls. Australian and New Zealand government departments have utilised this program to prevent the elderly from falling. After learning the Tai Chi for Arthritis program participants can also learn Tai Chi for Osteoporosis with additional exercises for health and fall prevention.

The causes of falls in the elderly include muscle weakness, poor balance and vision, lack of confidence when moving about and the effects of medication.
