Tai Chi for Diabetes is based on the Sun and Yang styles of tai chi and is easy to learn, effective and safe. It will improve health and wellness and is designed to prevent and improve the control of diabetes. Tai Chi for Diabetes is a programme specially designed by Dr Paul Lam in conjunction with a team of medical specialists and tai chi experts and is supported by Diabetes Australia.

Board Certification:
Following successful completion of this course you will be required to register to become a Tai Chi for Health Institute Board certified instructor before teaching the programme (if not already a member). Annual fee covers Board Certification for all your Tai Chi for Health qualifications. You will then be listed on the TCHI website.

What is Tai Chi for Diabetes?
Tai Chi for Diabetes is a tai chi form, especially designed by Dr Paul Lam with his tai chi associates and a team of medical experts. Based on Sun and Yang style tai chi, Tai Chi for Diabetes is easy to learn, effective and safe. It is designed to improve the management of diabetes.
The program will help to increase flexibility and muscle strength, and increase heart/lung activity, align posture, improve balance and integrate the mind and body.

Requirements
Dr Lam strongly recommends that you study the Tai Chi for Diabetes DVD or online lessons as it will help you to gain more from the workshop.
Anyone is welcome to attend, but to be eligible to be certified as an instructor, please check the recommended qualifications listed below.
- Physical therapists or physiotherapists
- Tai chi teachers or advanced students
- Exercise instructors
- Other similar professionals
Participants will receive either an attendance or instructor/leader’s certificate.

Two day Tai Chi for Diabetes Instructor Certification Workshop

Do you need to update an existing certification?: All Tai Chi for Health Programs can be updated at this workshop by prior arrangement. Please contact Mark Coffindaffer for further details for costs and the required paperwork.

Cancellations are subject to an administration fee/cost of materials supplied prior to April 1, 2017 after this cancellations will be refunded at 50% of fee paid.
