Details
TCA2 is a new Instructor Certification Workshop with a focus on nine new movements of the TCA form, refining your teaching method, and strengthening how to teach the program safely. Participants must ALREADY be certified as a TCA (or TCA/FP) instructor. Please send copy latest TCA/ TCAFP Certificate with your workshop fee [address below]. Note: You must attend both days to receive the TCA2 Instructor Certification.
It is required that participants purchase/have and study the Tai Chi for Arthritis2 DVD and selected chapters in the Teaching Tai Chi Effectively book (second edition) prior to the workshop. If you do not have these items, know that after you register on-line and payment is received, a Tai Chi Products 20% discount code will be sent to you along with paperwork, and assignments. When you register, be sure to include your email address and phone number contact information.
TCA / TCAFP Update is designed to update instructors for TCA and TCAFP. If your certification for these are about to expire, it is suggested you take advantage of the update option.
Other requirements include the completion of the release /waiver, an application form, a questionnaire, and any assignment(s) before the workshop. Email these items/forms to Elizabeth Rankin [see information below]. During the workshop you must pass a written quiz and demonstrate the form, as you have done with other TCHI workshops.
Lunch is not included. Bring your lunch. Some tea break beverages will be provided. A list of area eateries will be available.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. In case the room is cool, bring a light wrap or wear layers. Flat soled shoes suitable for exercise should be worn. No open toe, open back sandals, bare feet or stocking feet are allowed.
Upon successfully completing the requirements for certification during the workshop, you will need to become Board Certified with the Tai Chi for Health Institute. Email from the Tai Chi for Health Institute with instructions about the Board Certification and the requisite annual fee.

Continuing Education Units (optional)The American College of Sports Medicine Professional Education Committee certifies that the Tai Chi for Health Institute programs meet the criteria for up to 7 hours for each day. Please check and verify if your professional organization will accept the CEUs from ACSM that TCHI provides. There is an additional fee of $25 for CEUs. CEU payments are made to Dr, McBrien at the workshop.
