Tai Chi for Diabetes

Tai Chi for Diabetes is a tai chi form, specially designed by Dr Paul Lam in conjunction with his team of medical specialists and tai chi experts to improve the management of diabetes. The program will help to increase flexibility and muscle strength, increase heart/lung activity, align posture, improve balance, and integrate the mind and body. This safe effective program is supported by Diabetes Australia.

Based on the Sun and Yang styles of tai chi, Tai Chi for Diabetes (TCD) is easy to learn, effective, and safe. The program includes warm-up and cool-down exercises, the teaching method, basic knowledge about diabetes, and how to teach this program safely. Qualified participants who complete the course may be accredited by the Tai Chi for Health Institute to teach this exercise program.

Board Certification

Following successful completion of this course you will be required to register to become a Tai Chi for Health Institute Board-certified instructor before teaching the program (if not already a member). One annual fee covers Board Certification for all your Tai Chi for Health qualifications. You will then be listed with your certifications on the TCHI website.

Clothing

Wear loose comfortable clothes and flat shoes suitable for exercise.

Tai chi  für Diabetes                  Instruktor  Training             9 und 10. November 2018

Tai Chi für Diabetes ist eine von Dr. Lam und seinem Team von Tai Chi und medizinischen Experten speziell für Menschen mit Diabetes und Prä-Diabetes entwickelte Tai Chi-Form die auf Sun und Yang Stil Tai Chi basiert. Die Intensität der Tai Chi-Bewegungen wird langsam progressiv aufgebaut und somit eignet sich diese Form speziell für Menschen mit Diabetes.

Die Auswertungen verschiedener Studien belegen, dass die Blutzuckerwerte von Menschen mit Diabetes,  die regelmäßig Tai Chi praktizieren, sinken können.  Außerdem beruhigten sich die unterschwelligen Entzündungsprozesse im Körper.

Forscher nehmen an, dass sich die langsamen und fließenden Bewegungen auf diese Prozesse besänftigend auswirken. Doch nicht nur diese beeinflussen die Entzündungsprozesse positiv, sondern auch die gewonnene Fitness und das damit verbundene Gefühl des Wohlbefindens.

Das Tai Chi für Diabetes Programm ist einfach zu lernen, effektiv und sicher und eignet sich darum auch für Menschen mit anderen chronischen Krankheiten.

In diesem Instruktor Training  Workshop wird sowohl die Bewegungsfolge praktiziert als auch das effektive und sichere Unterrichten dieses Programms gelehrt. Es wird Hintergrundinformation über Tai Chi und über Diabetes aufgezeigt. Integriert im Programm ist eine bewährte Unterrichtsmethode.

Qualifizierte Teilnehmer, wie z.B.  Physiotherapeuten, Tai Chi Lehrer, Sportlehrer, Sportleiter für Senioren  oder andere Fachpersonen  mit einer ähnlichen  Qualifikation, können ein Instruktor Zertifikat erlangen. Voraussetzung für ein Zertifikat  ist u. A.  die Vorbereitung mit  Lehr-DVD und Handbuch und  das Ausfüllen der Fragenbogen.
