Dr. Paul Lam and his team of medical experts have designed this tai chi exercise program to incorporate medical research with traditional Chinese medicine to prevent or improve most heart conditions, as well as provide general benefits for balance, flexibility, relaxation and strength.
It is required that you view the Tai Chi for Heart Conditions DVD and read Dr. Lam's book, Teaching Tai Chi Effectively, prior to attending the workshop. These products may be be ordered from TaiChiProductions.com. You will be sent a 20% discount code when you register and pay for the workshop.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing and flat shoes, suitable for exercise. Water and simple snacks will be provided at the breaks.
CEU Credits
6.5 contact hours for CEUs per day are available for a small additional fee for Physical Therapists (PTs & PTAs), Occupational Therapists (OTs and OTAs), Advance Practice Registered Nurses (APRN), Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) & American College of Sports Medicine Certified Professionals (ACSM). Every state and certifying organization has different requirements, and these requirements are subject to frequent changes. TCHI, as with all CE providing organizations, require that each participant check with their certifying organization to verify that they will accept these CEUs.
The Tai Chi for Health Institute is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. The course offering is approved for up to 16.5 contact hours applicable to APRN, RN, or LPN relicensure. KS State Board of Nursing Provider Number (SP1460-0321).
The Indiana Professional Licensing Agency has approved the Tai Chi for Health Institute, c/o The Home Gym, Inc. to provide continuing education contact hours to Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapist Assistants.
