SKILL BUILDER - an opportunity to review skills if non-instructor or not in need of update

UPDATES AVAILABLE: TCA; TCAFP; SEATED TCA; TCA PART 2; TCE; TCD; TCR, TCO, TCB (only programs registered for will be reviewed)

Update assignments must be completed and returned to Jocelyn Simpson no later than 2 weeks prior to the workshop, along with copies of relevant TCH certificate(s) and CPR/First Aid card to jocelynsimpson854@gmail.com or PO Box 540, Acworth GA 30101. Failure to submit information on time will delay your update/recertification. There will be a $1 mailing fee if your certificate has to be provided post-workshop.

Be prepared to demonstrate the forms associated with the programs you are updating.  Reminder: Updates are required every two years.

Who will be Recertified/Updated to Teach the Program?

Participants who have met all requirements upon completion of the workshop will be eligible to be updated/recertified by the Tai Chi for Health Institute to teach the relevant TCH program. TCHI membership is required. In addition, you must be CPR/First Aid certified.

CEU Credits

6.5 contact hours for CEUs are available upon request for a small additional fee for Physical Therapists (PTs & PTAs), Occupational Therapists (OTs and OTAs), Advance Practice Registered Nurses (APRN), Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) & American College of Sports Medicine Certified Professionals (ACSM). Every state and certifying organization has different requirements, and these requirements are subject to frequent changes.  TCHI, as with all CE providing organizations, require that each participant check with their certifying organization to verify that they will accept these CEUs.

The American College of Sports Medicine's Professional Education Committee certifies that the Tai Chi for Health Institute meets the criteria for official ACSM Approved Provider status from 2015-December 2018. Approved Provider #701292.

The Tai Chi for Health Institute is approved as a provider of continuing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. The course offering is approved for up to 16.5 contact hours applicable to APRN, RN or LPN relicensure. KS State Board of Nursing Provider Number (SP1426-0119).

Please arrive to the workshop scent free in consideration for those with perfume allergies. Wear loose comfortable clothes and flat shoes suitable for exercise. Please also bring a water bottle.

$125 Early Bird registered & paid before January 7, 2019; AFTER $150 (includes one update; additional fee of $20 per additional update to a maximum of $100 additional)

$30 for optional CEUs  (Please review information above and ensure acceptance by your certifying body prior to making this payment. Payment may be made at the workshop if needed.)

All updates will have an assignment to be returned with copies of TCH certificate(s) and CPR/First Aid card.
