My Tai Chi Journey: What is essence of the life force that drives the life as it is? As technology has advanced, we have been given the privilege of observing, in slow motion, what is happening within and among all living forms around us. We can see how life unfolds- gradually, responsively, and in relationship with its surroundings.
Practicing Tai Chi allows me to slow down in the same way. It helps me become aware of what I am doing: my breath, my balance, my intentions, and the quiet intelligence of my body. In that awareness, I find a moment of peace- a stillness, a spaciouness- where I can feel the beauty of harmony within me. In that harmony, I learn to accept life as it is, while also allowing myself to live in the way that feels real, balanced, and meaningful to me.
