A class with Diana Nielsen
About this class
These Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention classes are held in the ground floor exercise room in the Alexian Rehabilitation Hospital Outpatient Center, across the street from the Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove Village, IL with easy access from several area expressways.
This class will cover moves #1-6 of the Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention program and does not require any prior tai chi or martial arts experience. For those who may have difficulty standing or walking unassisted, the program can be performed seated with minimal adjustments. If you think you may need to perform your tai chi seated, please let the instructor know at the first class. Each 1-hour class will begin with warm-up exercises, followed by a review of past moves and work on 1-2 new moves before finishing with cool down exercises. Please wear comfortable clothes and comfortable, supportive shoes to this class.
Additional Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention classes that cover moves #7-12 of Part 1 and Part 2 moves are often available, as well as classes in Tai Chi for Energy Part 1 & 2, and the Yang 24 Forms. Please contact the instructor, Diana Nielsen, at TCAFP.DN@GMAIL.COM for more information on these classes or for any questions on this program.
