Richard Dixon

Bio

After practicing and teaching martial arts for 26 years, Richard Dixon now leads participants in Tai Chi for health and relaxation. He holds a 4th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Combat Hapkido. He is a lifetime member of the United Martial Arts Alliance. He is an Enhanced Member of the United States Tai Chi Community (USTCC), volunteers with them on the Member Communications Committee, and is the Tech Manager for the USTCC website (USTCC.org). In 2025, he was selected to receive USTCC's annual scholarship to attend Dr. Paul Lam's week-long Tai Chi training held in 2026 in Lake Junaluska, NC. He is a Senior Trainer with the TCHI. Richard is a retired Chief Warrant Officer in the United States Coast Guard. In addition to the Tai Chi for health programs he practices the 24 Forms and Sun 73 daily. He has a Doctorate in Theology and a Master's degree in Applied Biblical Studies.
