About this skill builder

This Skill Builder is held on the FIRST Wednesday of the month. Join us as we work through the movements, focusing on the principles.

Elizabeth (Betty) Scanlon

Betty Scanlon has been a nurse for over 40 years and a Nurse Practitioner for over 30 years. In 2004 she was in search of a new form of exercise and tried a free Karate class, but after 3 classes, she knew it was not for her. She found a Tai Chi for Arthritis instructor class and immediately became addicted to Tai Chi. She has taught TCA classes ever since, while pursuing her own love of Tai Chi by trying different forms and styles. She has taught Tai Chi to seniors and children. She is well known for her embroidered and quilted oriental designs that are popular at the June workshop. Since retiring from her Nurse Practitioner job, she is offering a variety of tai chi classes on line.
