Details

This is a 1-Day Tai Chi for Energy (TCE) - Instructor Qualification or optional Just for Fun Workshop.

TCE & TCE2 Recertifications only at the workshop. Homework and workshop attendance are required. Instructions will be sent.

For other recertifications - contact Bill

The TCE program is comprised of two different tai chi styles.  Chen style is vigorous and complex, combining fast and slow movements with powerful spiral force. Sun style incorporates unique qigong (life energy) movements with agile stepping. These two seemingly contrasting styles have complementary internal energy.

Using his deep understanding of tai chi principles and over 30 years of teaching experience, Dr. Lam has carefully combined movements from Chen and Sun styles to produce a powerful synergy in Tai Chi for Energy. Thus, with regular practice and in a relatively short period, this program will help you acquire better health and wellness, internal energy, and the ability to manage stress.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

There will be discussions, practice sessions, small group sharing of skills and knowledge, Question and Answer portions, and, most importantly, personal instruction. The Master and Senior Trainers will give you feedback on what you did well and how to improve your tai chi and teaching skills; connect you to the Tai Chi for Health Institute (TCHI), fellow instructors, and Senior Trainers; and offer continual support.

Registrants should receive a confirmation message within 24 to 48 hours of registration.  You will receive instructions on how to purchase the Self-Paced Instructor Preparation Package (SIPP) using my 30% discount for Step 1 below.  The SIPP will be your online study and reference guide as you complete the instructor qualification process.  SIPP is also Highly Recommended for Just For Fun attendees.

There are two steps to complete for instructor qualification:

Step 1 - Complete the Self-paced Instructor Preparation Package (SIPP) Program

What is SIPP? - A self-paced virtual program personally studying with Dr. Lam - SIPP Provides the Basic Fundamentals of Tai Chi for Energy.  The SIPP provides the essential material to teach the movements of Tai Chi for Energy Part 1. It also prepares effective and safe tai chi Instructors.  Participants follow the lessons and sequence with Dr. Lam’s video guides for every step.  You must purchase and complete the SIPP training to continue to Step 2 with the Master Trainer.

Depending on your experience, the average time to complete the SIPP is 20 to 35 hours when approached at a reasonable pace.  Send Bill your certificate before the next Step.  Everything you need to begin the SIPP training will be sent upon payment confirmation.

Step 2Attend  Workshop with Master Trainer:

Attend a live, in-person, or Zoom workshop over 1 or 2 days to complete eligibility for becoming a Tai Chi for Health Institute-qualified instructor in the Tai Chi for Energy program. TCHI Master Trainers (MTs) worldwide can conduct this training in either a live or virtual format on the Tai Chi for Health Institute (tchi.org) website.

It is recommended that each instructor joins the TCHI membership to be listed on the website as a Board-Certified Instructor and be able to print their official certificate.  The cost is about $27 US Dollars per year.  Instructions and a link for this payment will be sent to each updating participant as a congratulations letter from service@tchi.org.  For more info on this, see: http://taichiforhealthinstitute.org//faq-for-becoming-a-board-certified-instructor/
