The Forms

The 24 Forms was created in 1956 in China based on Yang style tai chi. Today it is the most popular set containing all the essential principles of tai chi.

Tai Chi for Rehabilitation and the New Movements

Even first timers can participate in this workshop as long as you have prepared with the instructional DVD or Online Lessons (from www.taichiproductions.com). Dr Lam will personally teach this easy to learn program. He will go beyond the depth and share his knowledge of integrating western and eastern medicine, positive psychology and personal development. This program is not just for rehabilitation but also regeneration.

This program is based on a unique combination of Yang, Sun and Chen styles. Dr Lam will share with you the power of the synergy between all three, as well as teaching new movements to enhance the depth.

Almost anyone can learn this program relatively quickly. It can be done lying, sitting or standing and will develop your knowledge and inner power of tai chi.

At the Workshops

Dr Lam will go through form by form in detail to explain the depth and inner meaning. He will offer feedback, points of improvement and directions to develop your tai chi. You will be working towards the ultimate purpose of tai chi; to cultivate your qi most effectively and enjoyably. During the workshop you will have time to interact with Dr Lam and his colleagues, and benefit from his 40 years of tai chi and teaching experience and medical knowledge to help you improve your tai chi. 

About Dr Paul Lam

Dr Lam, an Australian family physician and tai chi expert, is a world leader in the field of tai chi for health. He loves teaching and is the first person in history to have travelled over one million miles for the purpose of teaching tai chi. Many enjoy learning from him so much so that they travel thousands of miles year after year to attend his workshops.

Dr Lam is the author of several books on tai chi and best-selling instructional tai chi DVDs. Preparation

Study the relevant DVD, and come scent free in consideration for those with perfume allergies.

What to Wear

Wear loose comfortable clothes and flat shoes suitable for exercise.

Updates

At these workshops participants will have the opportunity to update their Tai Chi for Health qualifications.  Prior notice is essential and a written assignment must be submitted before 1 August.  An administration fee applies.
