Class Information
Certified Instructor with ongoing classes in multiple forms of Tai Chi for Health for beginners, intermediate and advanced students. Also trained to teach Shibashi Qigong.
I teach Tai Chi for Arthritis (TCA) and TCA2, Tai Chi for Arthritis for Fall Prevention (TCAFP), Seated Tai Chi for Arthritis, Tai Chi for Diabetes (TCD), and Tai Chi for Rehabilitation (TCR), and Shibashi Qigong.

My Tai Chi experience began in 1985 as a student of Professor Chi, Quan Wen, a student of Chen Man-Ch-ing. In 1988, with the encouragement of Professor Chi, I became an instructor of Yang Style short and long form. In 2009, I became certified by the Tai Chi for Health Institute. I am certified in and teach multiple forms.

Kathleen O’Donohue teaches Qigong and Tai Chi for Health. For beginners, this is a 8-lesson series of classes that consist of slow movements, gentle postures, and relaxed minds and bodies. Perfect for all ages and levels, this class consists of standing and moving postures. Adaptable for all abilities, including seated. Contact Kathleen or 256-361-7623.

Gokhale Method - Kathleen also teaches back pain prevention and self-care through postural alignment. The Gokhale Method uses healthy posture and movement to help you restore your structural integrity and regain a pain-free life. You will learn how to comfortably alter the way you stand, sit, and move, to heal from pain and return to a posture that builds strength and resilience, and minimizes compression, tension, and degeneration.
