He currently runs his Tai Chi business under the \'Perth Tai Chi Academy\', is the creator of the \'Tai Chill\' fitness programs (which are recognised through Fitness Australia) and previously created the company \'Corporate Tai Chi\'.
He has competed and won medals in both State, National and International level tournaments demonstrating his ability as a Tai Chi athlete and instructor during his commitment with the WA Chin Woo Athletic Association.
Sam was the former Secretary for the Kung Fu Wushu Western Australia Federation (KWWA) where he acted as a representative to the WA Sports Federation and is currently a Level 2 NCAS coach accreditation with the Australian Sports Commission. As a committee member of KWWA, he has also contributed to State and National Wushu Championships as co-organiser and a Judging Official.
As a qualified Personal Trainer, Sam holds a Certificate III and a Certificate IV in Fitness, Senior First Aid and Working with Children Check. To add to his fitness and health knowledge, Sam has been trained under the Living, Longer, Living Stronger program run through the Council on the Ageing (COTA), is recognised with Arthritis & Osteoporsis WA and the Injury Control Council of WA (ICCWA).
Sam has also done much community work, conducting talks and presentations to various groups within the Perth health and fitness industry These talks were designed to raise awareness and promote the health benefits of Tai Chi to every aspect of life.
Sam’s goal is to promote Tai Chi not only as a healthy exercise, but also as a preventative medicine both physical and mental.
