Sam Sujatna
Bio
He currently runs his Tai Chi business under the Perth Tai Chi Academy, is the creator of the Tai Chill fitness programs (which are recognised through Fitness Australia) and is the first ever Board Certified Master Trainer for Western Australia.
He has competed and won medals in both State, National and International level tournaments demonstrating his ability as a Tai Chi athlete and instructor during his commitment with the WA Chin Woo Athletic Association.
Sam is currently the President for the Kung Fu Wushu Western Australia Federation (KWWA) where he acts as a representative to the WA Sports Federation and Department of Sport. He is also an accredited Level 2 NCAS coach and NOAS Judging Official accredited with the Australian Sports Commission. Sam also serves as the Communications Manager for Kung Fu Wushu Australia (KWA) the peak body for Chinese Martial Arts in Australia.
As a qualified Personal Trainer, Sam holds a Certificate III and a Certificate IV in Fitness, Senior First Aid and Working with Children Check. To add to his fitness and health knowledge, Sam has been trained under the Living, Longer, Living Stronger program and runs Tai Chi for Health workshops in coordination with organisations such as Arthritis & Osteoporosis WA and Injury Matters WA.
Sam has also done much community work, conducting talks and presentations to various groups within the Perth health and fitness industry These talks are designed to raise awareness and promote the health benefits of Tai Chi to every aspect of life.
Sam’s goal is to promote Tai Chi not only as a healthy exercise, but also as a preventative medicine both physical and mental.
