Tai Chi for Memory: An Empowering Program for Everyone!

What is Tai Chi for Memory?
Studies have shown tai chi improves memory and brain health. Dr Lam's team merged medical research and traditional Chinese medicine with tai chi to create an easy to learn program. It is especially useful for people with memory loss, Alzheimer's disease, or similar conditions. It is also designed to prevent these conditions.  

Caring for people with memory loss is challenging for carers and family; this mind-body program engages everyone for a quality time together. It will improve most aspects of health including balance, immunity and relaxation, and can be practiced and enjoyed by anyone.

Dr Paul Lam

Dr Paul Lam, a family physician in Sydney, Australia, is a world leader in the field of tai chi for health improvement.  The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC.gov) recommends his Tai Chi for Arthritis Program. Dr Lam has been studying tai chi for over forty years.  He is proficient in different styles and has created several Tai Chi for Health programs that have improved the health of millions of people worldwide.

He is one of the most sought after tai chi teachers having trained thousands of instructors.  Dr Lam has written several tai chi books including Teaching Tai Chi Effectively and Tai Chi for Beginners and the 24 Forms.  His instructional DVDs are best sellers around the world.

PreparationBest way is to find out for yourself

Prepare by working with the Tai Chi for Memory DVD or the Online lessons and the Teaching Tai Chi Effectively book or ebook as much as possible. The DVD/lessons and book are essential requirements for certification for instructor of this program. What To Wear

Wear loose comfortable clothes and flat shoes suitable for exercise. 

Updates

Current instructors can request Tai Chi for Health certificate updates with advance notice and submitting an assignment one month prior to the workshop.An administration fee applies and a written assignment must be submitted prior to the workshop.
NB Assignments submitted late incur an admin fee.

Details

There are two parts to the Qigong for the Tai Chi for Memory teacher training.

The Self-paced Instructor Preparation Package and a one day in person day workshop with me.

After you register for the TCM Instructor Training workshop, I will give you instructions on how to prepare for the workshop by purchasing SIPP-TCM from www.onlinetaichiworkshops.com - US $80 and I can send you a code for a 30% discount on this cost.

You must complete the Self-paced Instructor Preparation Package for Tai Chi for Arthritis (SIPP-TCM), -

You need to allow enough time before the workshop with me to complete the SIPP-TCM program...

Once you have completed the SIPP-TCM program, print the TCM certificate and email to me -bghum@internode.on.net.

This comprehensive package contains essential material to be a safe and effective tai chi instructor for the Tai Chi for Memory. To prepare, please practice with the video lessons included. There are additional webinar videos included that will enhance your tai chi development. You will have access to these lessons for a year. Also Required.

You will also need to purchase and read a copy of the Teaching Tai Chi Effectively book. This is available through www.taichiproductions.com. The e-book is also available from TCP.

The 1day workshop with me.

During this one-day, live instructor training workshop, we will review the material from the SIPP-TCM, including all of the movements. Participants are expected to be able to perform the sequence of movements from memory, so follow along with Dr Lam on the SIPP-TCM lessons and practice each section until you can perform the movements from memory before moving on to the next section. Your preparation helps assure you become certified at the end of the training.

Following the training with me, if meeting the standard for Instructor Qualification you will be invited to join the Tai Chi for Health Institute. Your membership will provide you with your Instructor Certification to teach this form.
