Details

To be eligible for ongoing Board Certification with the Tai Chi for Health Institute, skills must be updated every 2 years. The workshop will focus on the Tai Chi for Arthritis programme, with an emphasis on falls prevention. Other Tai Chi for Health forms will be demonstrated during the workshop.

Who is eligible to attend this training? Tai Chi for Health Leaders/Instructors.

Your trainer: Rosalie Rudduck is a Physiotherapist and Master Trainer in Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention, Tai Chi for Arthritis 2, Seated TCA, as well as Tai Chi for Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Rehabilitation, Memory and Heart Conditions with the Tai Chi for Health Institute. She has a Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training. Rosalie has worked extensively with people of all ages and has special interests in fall prevention and healthy ageing. 

Preparation: Each participant is required to review the respective DVDs and the 2011 revised edition of the textbook "Teaching Tai Chi Effectively" by Dr Paul Lam ($21.95 or as an e-book from Amazon, $9.95) before coming to the workshop. Board Certification: Following successful completion of this intensive workshop, you will be required to register to become a Tai Chi for Health Institute Board-certified instructor in the relevant programmes before teaching them (if not already a member). A fee of $99 covers Board Certification for all your Tai Chi for Health qualifications for the two years from your membership renewal date. You will then be listed on the Tai Chi for Health Institute website and be able to have your class locations listed on the website under "Classes near me" and use Dr Lam's Tai Chi Music during your classes.

Cost

Tai Chi for Arthritis & Falls Prevention, TCA2, Seated TCA (with assignment) Updates $230.

Extra Updates in Tai Chi for Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Energy 1 & 2, Rehabilitation, Memory and Heart Conditions, available (with assignment) $50 each, maximum $100.

Cancellation is subject to a $100 administration fee. Morning and afternoon tea supplied.
