"The Depth of the Tai Chi for Health Warmups"
Monthly Tai Chi for Health Instructors Forum - Time Zone 2
May 2025
Have you ever overheard someone asking when the warm-ups will change? Or perhaps you had participants coming late to class with an attitude of not missing anything if they “only missed the warm-ups.”
Repetition can lead to automaticity, meaning the mind has disengaged from the activity. The Tai Chi for Health Warm-Ups are not merely physical movements. It is important to keep the mind and spirit engaged in order to experience the depth and many benefits of the sequence. We can guarantee that if you participate in this May edition of the TCHI Instructors Forum, you will learn something new and intriguing about this warm-up set. The new depth that you discover and experience will not only enhance your own practice, but will be knowledge that you can pass on to your own participants too.
Rani Hughes, an Occupational Therapist with over 25 years of practice in Tai Chi and QiGong, will be joining Dr Paul Lam in this examination of depth in the Tai Chi for Health Warm-Ups. Come and join us!

The main purpose of the TCHI Instructors Forum is to connect with everyone and to share knowledge and friendship. Each month there will be a theme topic, addressed by Dr Lam and invited expert/s. There will be time for questions and comments sent prior, time permitting. You will also have an opportunity to enjoy meeting other participants from all over the world. It is a great way to learn and share as a member of the global tai chi community. Connecting with other tai chi enthusiasts is so helpful! Afterwards, a link to the recording will be sent to all registered participants.
Registration in advance is required. Please email your questions or topics of interest at least two days in advance to service@drlamtaichiworkshops.com. Please put “Forum” in the subject line.
Be sure to register every month!
