Tai Chi for Arthritis 2
What is Tai Chi for Arthritis 2?
Dr. Paul Lam and his team of medical and tai chi experts designed the Tai Chi for Arthritis program to be safe and effective for people with arthritis; it also provides health benefits and can improve almost anyone’s quality of life.
Millions of people around the world have gained health benefits from the TCA program. Many scientific studies have shown that the TCA program relieves pain, improves quality of life and makes people feel better. Studies also shown the program prevent falls; that is why the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC.gov) recommends it for this purpose. It is supported by many Arthritis Foundations including the USA, Australia and UK.
TCA has twelve moves, and many people told Dr Lam they wanted a longer set to enhance their practice. Dr Lam has carefully selected a further 9 forms to add to the original TCA to create a more exciting set. Containing more sophisticated moves and subtle changes in direction, TCA2 is an ideal tool for beginners looking to expand their repertoire and develop their knowledge of the tai chi principles, and to gain more health benefits.
TCA2 is now an instructor qualifying workshop; check your insurance to make sure you are covered to teach the set without Board Certification. Dr Lam strongly recommends everyone to learn this more challenging set.

Details
This dynamic, eight-hour interactive Tai Chi for Arthritis 2 (TCA2) Instructor Certification Workshop will be held live on Zoom.
Anyone is welcome to attend! To become a TCA2 certified instructor, you will need to show that you can teach safely and effectively, per TCHI standards, and do the set from memory. Required preparatory work includes learning the forms by working with the Tai Chi for Arthritis 2 online lessons or DVD and reading the Teaching Tai Chi Effectively book. These materials can be purchased at taichiproductions.com. You will receive a 20% discount code after your registration and payment are received.
The workshop will be held via the Zoom platform on two half days, Thursdays, February 6 & 13, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm each day EST.
There will be a brief (approximately ½ hour) Zoom “tech check” meeting on January 30 at 1:00 pm, to ensure participants are comfortable using Zoom and can be seen head-to-toe. While it would be best if participants could meet as a group, individual tech-check sessions will be scheduled if necessary.
After the February training, each participant will meet with Nina for a one-hour, one-on-one Zoom meeting. This is an opportunity to ask questions and polish your forms. Participants who meet the requirements of the program will receive and instructor certificate. If you have not met the requirements, Nina will work with you to meet them.
