This extra half-day intensive in-person workshop will focus on how to maximise the benefits of the Tai Chi for Arthritis programme when performed in a sitting position.
Who is eligible to attend this training? Recently accredited instructors who have completed the full Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention training, including the Self-paced Instructor Preparation Package (SIPP) and workshop, as well as advanced Tai Chi students.
Reasons to participate in the Seated Tai Chi for Arthritis workshop:
- Assist your community further by learning how to share the benefits of Seated TCA with your class participants who are unable to stand safely.
- Exchange ideas on progressing from Seated TCA to standing Tai Chi for Arthritis.
- Gain a deeper understanding of the Tai Chi principles and how they relate to health improvement.
Your trainer: Rosalie Rudduck is a physiotherapist and master trainer in the Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention, Seated Tai Chi for Arthritis, Tai Chi for Diabetes, Energy, Memory, Heart Conditions, Osteoporosis and Rehabilitation programmes with the Tai Chi for Health Institute. She has a Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training. Rosalie has worked extensively with people of all ages and has special interests in fall prevention and healthy ageing.
Each participant needs to be familiar with the movements in the Seated Tai Chi for Arthritis programme. DVDs available for $29.95, also as online lessons. Tai Chi for Arthritis handbook ($12.95) and the textbook "Teaching Tai Chi Effectively" by Dr Paul Lam ($21.95 or as an e-book from Amazon $9.99) before coming to the workshop. Recognition by the Tai Chi for Health Institute will be covered by your initial TCHI membership fee of $99 (for 2 years) following your recent completion of the Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention Instructor training programme.
Cost
Instructor Certificate: $175.
Cancellation prior to 5th June 2026 is subject to a $50 administration fee. No refund after 5th June 2026.
Attendance without Instructor qualification $50.

Coolangatta is situated at the southern end of Queensland's Gold Coast, close to the local airport and with all the facilities of a popular winter escape. The venue offers free parking, a wide variety of cafes nearby and only a short stroll to beautiful beaches.
