1-Day Instructor Certification Workshop for Tai Chi for Arthritis (TCA) and Fall Prevention (TCAFP).
The Tai Chi for Arthritis program was created by Dr. Paul Lam and his team of medical and tai chi experts over 20 years ago. More than 30 medical studies have shown that it improves the health and quality of life of almost everyone. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC.gov) supports this program for fall prevention, and it is a tier 3 funded program from the National Council on Aging (NCOA) and supported by arthritis foundations around the world. Tai chi improves immunity and reduces falls, pain, stress, and many other health aspects.
Based on the Sun style of tai chi, these programs are easy to learn, effective, and safe. Tai chi improves flexibility and muscle strength, increases heart/lung activity, aligns posture, improves balance, and integrates the mind and body. Qualified participants who complete the course will be eligible to become board-certified by the Tai Chi for Health Institute to teach this program.
