Tai Chi for Rehabilitation is modified tai chi for health program that combines positive psychology with the movements, as a mind/body exercise. This program developed by Dr. Paul Lam, is a combination of Yang, Sun and Chen tai chi styles. Chen style is vigorous and sophisticated, containing fast and slow movements along with the mysterious spiral force. Sun style has a uniquely powerful qigong (life energy) along with agile steps. Yang has graceful and slow movements which promotes health. This relaxing set can be done lying, sitting or standing and will help develop your knowledge and inner power of tai chi.
At the conclusion of the workshop
- Learn how to teach this program safely and effectively
- Gain knowledge of what is Tai Chi and how it helps people for rehabilitation
- Be able to perform the Tai Chi for Rehabilitation set
Who is eligible to attend this training?
Suitable participants include: Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Tai Chi teachers and advanced students, Nurses, Health professionals (eg doctors), Accredited Exercise Instructors, Certified Allied Health Assistants.
Rani Hughes is an occupational therapist and master trainer in the Tai Chi for Rehabilitation, Tai Chi for Arthritis, Tai Chi for Diabetes. Rani enjoys teaching and has trained hundreds of Tai Chi for Health instructors. She has taught tai chi for over twenty years to a diverse range of people including people with arthritis, diabetes and people experiencing mental illness.
Course Fees $400
Early Bird fee $375 (paid in full by 31st May 2018)
To attend this workshop as a TCR update costs $220 or $200 early bird fee (paid in full by 31st May, 2018)
