On successful completion of this two day intensive "train the trainer" workshop, you will be provided with the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct safe and effective Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention classes.  This easy to learn programme is based on the Sun Style of tai chi and was specially designed by Dr Paul Lam in conjunction with  medical and tai chi experts to improve the control of arthritis, improve balance and flexibility.  It has been recommended by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as an effective falls prevention activity.

Your trainer:  Rosalie Rudduck is a physiotherapist and Master Trainer in the Tai Chi for Arthritis 1 & 2, Falls Prevention, Seated Tai Chi for Arthritis, Tai Chi for Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Rehabilitation, Heart Conditions & Memory programmes with the Tai Chi for Health Institute. Rosalie has worked extensively with people of all ages and has special interests in fall prevention and healthy ageing.

Preparation:  Each participant needs to be familiar with the movements in the Tai Chi for Arthritis programme (DVD available for $35.95 and the textbook "Teaching Tai Chi Effectively" by Dr Paul Lam (available in hard copy $21.95 or e-book $9.95) before coming to the workshop.  These products are available from Tai Chi Productions in Sydney Ph: 02 9533 6511 or visit

Board Certification:  Following successful completion of the course, you will be required to register to become a Tai Chi for Health Institute Board certified instructor/leader before teaching the programme.  A single annual fee of $25 (Standard Membership) or $45 (Premier Membership) covers Board Certification for all of your Tai Chi for Health Institute qualifications.


Instructor Certificate  $410 (early bird $390 paid in full by 10th May 2019).

Tai Chi for Arthritis Update $220, additional updates $40 each (maximum $80).

Attendance Certificate:  $310 (early bird $290 paid in full by 10th May 2019).

Toowoomba is a beautiful inland city, with a population of around 100,000.  Just 135 kms west of Brisbane, it is the gateway to south west Queensland.  Plenty of accommodation, some good eating spots, parks and opportunities to explore.  With the new Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport, it is now serviced by direct flights to and from Sydney, Melbourne and Townsville with bus services also available from Brisbane.
