On successful completion of this two day intensive workshop, you will be provided with the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct safe and effective Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall prevention classes. This easy to learn programme is based on the Sun Style of tai chi and was specially designed by Dr Paul Lam in conjunction with medical and tai chi experts to improve the control of arthritis, improve balance and flexibility. It has been recommended by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as an effective falls prevention activity.

Who is eligible to attend this training? Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, Certified Allied Health Assistants, Diversional & Lifestyle Therapists, Health Professionals, Nurses, Tai Chi teachers and advanced TaiChi students.
Your Trainer: Rosalie Rudduck is a Physiotherapist and Master Trainer with the Tai Chi for Arthritis 1 & 2, Fall Prevention, Seated Tai Chi for Arthritis, Tai Chi for Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Rehabilitation, Memory and Heart Conditions programmes with the Tai Chi for Health Institute. She has Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training. Rosalie has worked extensively with people of all ages and has special interests in fall prevention and healthy ageing.
Preparation: Each participant needs to be familiar with the movements in the Tai Chi for Arthritis programme (DVD available for $35.95) and textbook "Teaching Tai Chi Effectively" by Dr Paul Lam (available in hard copy $21.95 or e-book $9.95) before coming to the workshop. Board Certification: Following successful completion of the course, you will be required to register to become a Tai Chi for Health Institute board certified instructor/leader before teaching the programme. A single annualfee of $25 (Standard Membership) or $45 (Premier Membership) covers Board Certification for all of your Tai Chi for Health Institute qualifications.
Instructor Certificate: $410 (early bird $390 if paid in full by 27th September 2019).
Tai Chi for Arthritis Update $220. Additional updates $40 each (maximum $80).
Attendance Certificate: $310 (early bird $290 if paid in full by 27th September 2019).
Cancellation is subject to a $50 administration fee.

Toowoomba is a beautiful inland city, with a population of around 100,000. Just 135 kms west of Brisbane, it is the gateway to south west Queensland.
