Tai Chi for Arthritis (TCA) is the original Tai Chi for Health program based on Sun style of tai chi, specially designed by Dr Paul Lam in conjunction with other medical and tai chi experts. You will learn the program along with the special module for Fall Prevention.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, (www.cdc.gov), Australian health departments and arthritis organizations worldwide support this program. It is easy to learn, enjoyable and proven by over 30 medical studies to relieve arthritis pain, improve balance, flexibility and many aspects of health.
The program is an empowering tool to health and well-being. Attending the workshop means you will also learn to use tai chi to enhance your own life. If attending to be certified to teach you will also learn the necessary skills to become a safe and effective facilitator of the program.
About the Instructor - Dr Paul Lam
Dr Lam, an Australian family physician and tai chi expert, is a world leader in the field of tai chi for health. He loves teaching and is the first person in history to have travelled over one million miles for the purpose of teaching tai chi. Many enjoy learning from him so much so that they travel thousands of miles year after year to attend his workshops.
Dr Lam is the author of several books on tai chi and best-selling instructional tai chi DVDs. His tai chi programs are supported by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and health departments and arthritis foundations around the world.

Preparation
Each participant needs to be familiar with the movements in the Tai Chi for Arthritis program and the textbook "Teaching Tai Chi Effectively" by Dr Paul Lam before coming to the workshop. You can learn them online or from DVD [need to buy them separately from TCHI website]
Recommendation: Your chance of getting certified as an Instructor increases if you can attend a few physical classes for learning the movements and the theory. Special classes will be organized in Kolkata, India by the institute Senior Trainers, Kartikey Shukla and Sylvia Das [separate cost, contact +91 7022258036 for details] before the workshop to prepare you well for getting certified. Remember, you will need to pass a test at the end of the workshop.
What to Wear
Wear loose comfortable clothes and flat shoes suitable for exercise.
Updates
At this workshop participants will have the opportunity to update their existing Tai Chi for Health qualifications. Prior notice to TCHI is essential and a written assignment must be submitted one month in advance. An Institute fee of $50AUD will apply for programs other than TCAFP.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation fee of 10% of fees is applicable if you want to cancel your registration and get a refund on or before 30th June 2020
Cancellation fee of 50% of fees is applicable if you want to cancel your registration and get a refund after 30th June and before 31st July 2020.
No refund after 31st July 2020.
