 What is Tai Chi for Diabetes?

Tai Chi for Diabetes is a tai chi form, especially designed by Dr Paul Lam in conjunction with his tai chi associates and a team of medical experts.  Based on Sun and Yang style tai chi, Tai Chi for Diabetes is easy to learn, effective and safe.  It is designed to improve the management of diabetes.

The program will help to increase flexibility and muscle strength, and increase heart/lung activity, align posture, improve balance and integrate the mind and body.

If you are currently qualified as an Instructor through the National Martial Arts Instructor Accreditation Scheme, you will be qualified as a Tai Chi for Health Instructor upon successful completion of the program. All other persons will be qualified as Leaders of the program.

Get ready for the holidays with a set that is good for balancing sugar metabolism!!

This set is based on Yang and Sun style.  It offers depth and benefits not only to those with Diabetes but to those who want to prevent it as well.  

Participants must order the DVD or online course access through and pay separately.  The book "Teaching Tai Chi Effecively" is also required.  There will be a Tech Check Zoom session held two weeks prior to the workshop, time to be arranged at mutual convenience, and a post workshop one hour private Zoom sessions will be held in the two weeks following the workshop before certification can be achieved.   

If you are currently a Board certified TCD instructor, you may update your biannual certificate by successful completion of Day 2.  You are welcome to participate in both days.

It will be held via the Zoom platform, with short breaks throughout each day.

The Early Bird fee for the two day instructor certification course is $265 if paid by Nov. 21st.  After Nov. 21st the fee is $285.

The fee for Update only (must already be a certified instructor) is $125.
