Tai Chi for Osteoporosis
Tai Chi for Osteoporosis (TCO) was specially designed by Dr Paul Lam in conjunction with his tai chi associates and a team of medical experts. It helps to improve balance and prevent the risk of falls. The program will also improve posture, muscle strength, relaxation, fitness, and health. Based on Sun and Yang styles of tai chi, Tai Chi for Osteoporosis is easy to learn, effective, and safe. It includes some gentle weight-bearing movements that are beneficial for bone strength. It also incorporates breathing exercises and stepping in four directions. Qualified participants who successfully complete the course may be accredited by the Tai Chi for Health Institute to teach this program.

Location
This is a virtual workshop using the Zoom platform. Please download Zoom (you may use the free version). If you haven't used this platform before, Zoom provides videos to help you learn how it works. This is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Find a space in your home suitable for practice, and experiment with Zoom so you learn how to stay within the frame. I will need to see you head to toe. I recommend using painter's tape on the floor to outline the area you will need to stay within. If available, I recommend using a HDMI connection to a larger screen or your television, so you have a larger image.
You can also check out the following YouTube videos from Dr. Lam and Becky Rahe for important Zoom Tech information: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jE2FjM1jlKI and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PW-0O_HdSjk&t=8s.
