Depth of Yang Style 24 Forms

The Yang Style 24 Forms was created in 1956 by the Chinese National Sports Committee to popularise tai chi. Today it is the most popular set in the world. It contains all the key principles of tai chi with special features of Yang Style. Dr Paul Lam has extensive experience on this set. He has worked with well-known experts including the main creator of the 24 Forms - Master Fu Zhong Wen.

In this workshop, Dr Lam will go through each form in detail to explore the depth and inner meaning. You will be working towards the ultimate purpose of tai chi; to cultivate your qi most effectively and enjoyably, converting it to Jing and using the process to generate more Qi. He will also provide points of improvement and direction to develop your tai chi.

During the workshop you will have time to share with Dr Lam's over 50 years of tai chi experience and Chinese culture relevant to tai chi improvement. You will learn how he incorporates up-to-date medical knowledge to make tai chi more powerful for health and wellness.

At the completion of the workshop you will understand the sets more deeply, find a clearer path to progress in your tai chi and gain more enjoyment from your practice.

How does Tai Chi work?

Workshop participants who are also certified TCHI Instructors will have the opportunity to update their Tai Chi for Health qualifications. Advanced notice is essential.

You must complete the relevant Self-paced Instructor Preparation Package (SIPP) of the program/s you will Update. Please allow suitable time to complete the required SIPP online learning material (valued at US$80 each, included in your Update fee). Upon completion of your SIPP, you will be issued a Certificate of Completion. At least 2 weeks prior to the workshop, you must submit this certificate to workshops@taichiproductions.com
