Tai Chi for Osteoporosis

Tai Chi for Osteoporosis (TCO) was specially designed by Dr Paul Lam in conjunction with his tai chi associates and a team of medical experts. It helps to improve balance and prevent the risk of falls. The program will also improve posture, muscle strength, relaxation, fitness, and health. Based on Sun and Yang styles of tai chi, Tai Chi for Osteoporosis is easy to learn, effective, and safe. It includes some gentle weight-bearing movements that are beneficial for bone strength.  It also incorporates breathing exercises and stepping in four directions. Qualified participants who successfully complete the course may be accredited by the Tai Chi for Health Institute to teach this program.

This Instructor Certification course includes the new Self-Paced Instructor Preparation Package (SIPP).  Completion of the online SIPP portion is required PRIOR to the workshop.  The online SIPP materials will continue to support you as a new instructor, and your access to SIPP will be for 365 days, about a full year.  You will enjoy this valuable resource both to prepare for the fast paced live interactive portion, as well as to support your teaching in your first year.  Please allow 20+ hours to complete the SIPP and practice the movements.

The SIPP package must be purchased by you separately, well in advance of the training.  It is normally $80 USD, but I will send you a 30% off coupon code after processing your registration, significantly reducing the price (to about $57) for you.

The live interactive portion will be held via the Zoom platform on two half days.  Please check your time zone and calendar.  In the Eastern time zone, this is 1pm-5pm on Saturday and Sunday, April 20 & 21.

You must be able to be seen "nose to toes."  There will be a half hour zoom Set and Tech check on Wednesday April 18 in order to meet all the participants and to review Zoom controls and lighting.

The fee for the live interactive portion is $250 USD.  Please pay by Zelle or check to Patricia Lawson, PO Box 1811, Hobe Sound, FL. 33475. MC/Visa can also be processed via a phone call to me.

The fee for the SelfPaced Preparation Package, paid directly by you the participant, is about $57 after applying the coupon code from me.  If you pay prior to registering, the fee will be $80.  It is best to register for the course and use the coupon code, as refunds will not be processed later.
