Tai Chi for Arthritis 2

What is Tai Chi for Arthritis 2?

Dr. Paul Lam and his team of medical and tai chi experts designed the Tai Chi for Arthritis program to be safe and effective for people with arthritis; it also provides health benefits and can improve almost anyone’s quality of life.

Millions of people around the world have gained health benefits from the TCA program. Many scientific studies have shown that the TCA program relieves pain, improves quality of life and makes people feel better. Studies also shown the program prevent falls; that is why the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC.gov) recommends it for this purpose. It is supported by many Arthritis Foundations including the USA, Australia and UK.

TCA has twelve moves, and many people told Dr Lam they wanted a longer set to enhance their practice. Dr Lam has carefully selected a further 9 forms to add to the original TCA to create a more exciting set. Containing more sophisticated moves and subtle changes in direction, TCA2 is an ideal tool for beginners looking to expand their repertoire and develop their knowledge of the tai chi principles, and to gain more health benefits.

TCA2 is now an instructor qualifying workshop; check your insurance to make sure you are covered to teach the set without Board Certification.  Dr Lam strongly recommends everyone to learn this more challenging set.

Details

This is a 1-day instructor qualification training.  You must have TCA or TCAFP certification to be certified for TCA2.

To prepare, either enroll in the TCA2 on-line lessons (www.onlinetaichilessons.com) or purchase the TCA2 DVD.  A discount code will be provided to everone that registers.

You will also need to purchase and read a copy of the Teaching Tai Chi Effectively book if you don't have one.  This is available through www.TaiChiProductions.com (a discount code is available), or through Amazon.com.

During the live instructor training workshop we will review all of the movements, safety considerations, and teaching method.  Participants are expected to be able to perform the sequence of movements from memory, so follow along with Dr Lam on the video lessons and practice each section until you can perform the movements from memory before moving on to the next section.

I make every effort to support each participant to reach the standard for certification. Those that are not well-prepared may require additional practice and an additional Zoom meeting to meet the standard.

This training will be held live on Zoom.  For a virtual workshop, it’s essential that you have a space where you can be seen from head to toe while being able to see your “monitor”.  The easiest way to do that is to connect your camera (webcam, phone, tablet, or laptop) to a larger TV screen.

Following the training, those meeting the standard for Instructor Qualification will be invited to join the Tai Chi for Health Institute.  Your membership provides Board Certification to teach this form.

Cost

The workshop fee is $150.  A discount code for the DVD or on-line lessons will be provided after registration.

Payment can be made via check, Zelle, PayPal, or credit card.  Information provided after registration.

Update fee:  $150.

Additional Tai Chi for Health updates:  $35 each, must be arranged with Betty prior to the workshop.
