TAI CHI FOR ARTHRITIS/TAI CHI FOR ARTHRITIS FOR FALLS PREVENTION (TCAFP) SELF-PACED INSTRUCTOR PREPARATION PROGRAM.

This training is composed of a Self-Paced Instructor Preparation Package (SIPP) and a 1-day virtual live training  with  Master Trainer Lorraine Noval.  The SIPP must be successfully completed before attending the live training on May 20.  Please read the details below before registering.

BACKGROUND:

Taking advantage of the innovations in technology, this training is divided into two components.  First, the Self-paced Instructor Preparation Program (SIPP).  The SIPP is a self-paced virtual program containing essential material to train effective and safe instructors. All you have to do is to follow the sequence with Dr Lam’s video guides for every step.

After completion of the SIPP and the associated practice, you will be ready for the 1-day live interactive TCA/TCAFP Instructor Training Workshop to be eligible to become a Tai Chi for Health Institute (TCHI) Board Certified instructor.

INFORMATION ABOUT THIS TRAINING:

When you register and pay for this workshop, you will receive a link (and discount code) for purchasing the SIPP online package that you can complete in your own time and at your own pace. For the 1-day workshop (May 20, 2024), you must successfully complete the SIPP before May 10, 2024. The SIPP can take a person anywhere from 10-15 to 40-50 hours depending on your experience.  After completing the SIPP, you will do a recording (on Zoom or an MP4) of your attempt at the TCAFP routine and forward it to the Master Trainer.  This recording and the system-generated Certifcate of Completion of SIPP are your "tickets" to the 1-day instructor training.

The 1-day instructor workshop is personal. The Master Trainer will work with you to answer your questions about the program and tai chi routine, help you refine your tai chi movements, and help to ensure you can teach the program safely and effectively using the Stepwise Progressive Teaching Method.  There will be discussions, practice sessions, sharing skill and knowledge, Question and Answer portions, and most importantly, personal attention. The Master Trainer will give you feedback on what you did well and how you can improve your tai chi and teaching skills, connect you to the Tai Chi for Health Institute (TCHI), fellow instructors, Senior Trainers and offer continual support.  Registrations will be limited to 10 people.

Instructor Training Day - DATE:  This announcement is for Monday, May 20, 2024.  If you feel that you won't be done with the SIPP for the May 20 training day, please contact the Master Trainer to discuss an option for a subsequent instructor training.

After your registration and payment for this training,  you will receive a discount code to purchase the link for your SIPP.  This link is available to you as long as you continue your subscription to it.  Access to the SIPP includes:
